COMPANION PORTABLE UNITS
Companion 1000/1000T Portable Unit Components
Become familiar with the various parts of the unit described below and
shown in Figure 7.
•
Vent Valve - is used to fill the unit. You must lift the vent valve
lever to fill the unit when it is coupled to a Stationary unit. The
vent valve lever is returned to its original position to stop the fill.

Fill Connector - for connecting to a Stationary unit, and is found
on the bottom of the unit.

Contents Indicator - is found on the top of the Portable unit. A
pointer tells you how much oxygen remains in the unit by
unsnapping the plastic connector and suspending the unit from
the end of the carrying strap that is closest to the indicator.

Oxygen Outlet - allows connection of the cannula that delivers
oxygen for breathing.
•
Moisture Cup and Pad (1000T Only) - helps contain condensation
formed when liquid oxygen is warmed to a gaseous state.
•
Carrying Strap — This is an adjustable strap that enables the user
to wear the unit over the shoulder. The plastic connector in the
