Service and maintenance
If the clamping unit is dirty, clean it with a soft cloth.

Permissible cleaning agents include:
soap suds (max. 60°C)
all non−abrasive cleaning agents.
Take into account the life−time lubrication of the clamping unit. Additional

lubrication is not necessary.

Removal and repairs
Warning
Danger of injury from parts flying through the air!
Pre−stressed springs may be ejected suddenly during dismantling. Sudden re
lease of internal spring forces (e.g. when dismantling the housing cover) may
cause injury.
S Make sure that the clamping unit is not dismantled. Please contact our after−
sales repairs service for repair to the clamping unit.
Disassembling:
Make sure that the work load has reached a stable position (e.g. when fitted

vertically at the lowest point).
Vent the clamping unit.

Do not modify the settings of screws and threaded pins if there is no direct
S
request to do this in these operating instructions. In this way you will prevent
damage to the clamping unit at a later stage.
