2.3. Electrical connections
Electrical diagrams:
See ANNEX
Power supply must be removed prior to any intervention on the unit.
Connection to the power supply must be carried out by a qualified electrician
Power cables must be protected upstream using a surge protection device in accordance
with current legislation and standards of your country.
Check that the cables and wires inside the electric cabinet are clamped tight to their
terminals before the initial start-up
Feed in 230V / 50Hz / 1-phase, using a 1 mm² cable (mini), connecting the terminals L1, L2 and Earth.
Connect the (14 – 15) control terminals of the air dryer to the compressor (automatic operation) or
connect a 'U' link on the terminals (14 – 16) to allow forced operation
Electrical power supply: 150W maxi.
3.
RUNNING OPERATION
All the connections must be tightened before the start-up.
Switch on the air dryer.
Control the dryer by 14–15 terminals or the forced operation by the buttons of the MILLENIUM (see§
6).
Check the cycles: analyse the pressure variations on the pressure gauges M1 and M2 and LEDs of the
valve connectors.
For start-up, or after performing any maintenance operation, wait for at least 12 hours in order to reach an
appropriate dew point as required. The downstream network of the dryer must be dried. It is
recommended to drain several times and to create a leak on the downstream network.
This 12-hour period is given for reference only.
During this phase, if an hygrometry probe, remotely installed, triggers an alarm, you must mask it. (see
manuals of HYGROMIL'S 2000, PROCOM-2, CYCLIC 2020,...for hygrometry management).
4.
MAINTENANCE
Maintenance operation should only be carried out by qualified and authorised personnel.
To use only spare parts and accessories of origin!
Before performing any maintenance operations, first isolate the air treatment unit and
the associated compressor set. Depressurise the whole system. A manual drain valve is
provided below the downstream filter.

4.1. Weekly check
Check overall condition of the dryer and the cycle operation with the pressure gauges M1 and M2 and LEDs
of the valve connectors.
Check the drain operation of the upstream filtration system.
Check that the residual pressure in the cylinders, in regeneration phase, doesn't exceed 1 bar.
4.2. Usual maintenance
Refer to the maintenance planning for air treatment units with AD 5XXX dryers.
Maintenance planning available on the website www.mils.fr.
4.3. Electronic drain BEKO 12 check
A test button is provided at the top of the electronic drain to make a
manual drain.
P For more information, see the attached manual (BEKOMAT 12).
4.4. Mechanical drain valve check
Make sure that the tank is not full of water. In this case, the mechanical drain valve doesn't operate.
Note: there is always a small quantity of water.
Loss of tightness of this drain valve outlet will lead to a leak.
4.5. Sequential drain check
Push the test button to make a manual drain.
Check that the drain is OK on automatic mode:
as soon as the contact 14-15 or forced operation is active.
PF filter : drain 2s every 10 min.
SUB filter : drain 2s every 30 min.
4.6. T35 and T65 dryer tubes HC version
Cylinders, white colour, are expendable and not re-usable.
They contain the 'dessicant' (=drying system), metal oxides and carbon included in the waste
regulated in the family of metallic oxides category.
Consult the qualified organisation as regards treatment/dangerous waste recycling for the reject.
If you are in the incapacity to eliminate them suitably, we have a service to evacuate them within
our factory of Genas. Consult us.
4.7. T35 and T65 dryer tubes OX version
Cylinders, grey colour, are expendable and not re-usable.
They contain the 'dessicant' (=drying system). The 'dessicant' evacuation can be carried out in a
suitable discharge like a banal industrial waste, by complying with the corresponding local and
official regulations.
If you are in the incapacity to eliminate them suitably, we have a service to evacuate them within
our factory of Genas. Consult us.
