GENERAL SAFETY NOTES
Please take the time to read these instructions carefully and keep them to hand in
the intended operating instructions compartment on the child safety seat at all
times . The instructions must be kept with the child safety seat if the latter is
passed on to a third party.
In order for the KD05 to protect your child correctly, it must always be installed
and used exactly as described in these instructions. It is possible that some of the
child safety seat settings will lead to restrictions when used in "i-Size" vehicle seat
positions.
A: DANGER! For the protection of all vehicle occupants
· The backrests of the vehicle seats are locked (e.g. that the latch on a folding rear
seat bench is engaged).
· All heavy or sharp-edged objects in the vehicle (e.g. on the parcel shelf) are
secured.
· All persons in the vehicle have their seat belts fastened.
· The child safety seat is always secured in the car via the ISOFIX anchoring.
· It shall be recommended that the device should be changed when it has been
subject to violent stresses in an accident ; a general warning shall begiven to theuse
rconcerning the danger of making any alterationsorad ditions to the device without
the approval of the competent authority, and a danger of not following closely the
installation instructions provided by the child restraint manufacturer.
· There shall be explicit warning not to use any load bearing contact points other
than those described in the instructions and marked in the child restraint.
For an ISOFIX child restraint system ,the instruction for use must be given to read
the car manufacturer's handbook it shall be recommended that any luggage or
other objects liable to cause injuries in the event of a collision shall be properly
secured. It shall be recommended that:
(a)The child restraint must not be used without the cover.
(b)The seat cover should not be replaced with any other than the one recommen-
ded by the Manufacturer, because the cover constitutes an integral part of the
restraint performance.
