WARNING
Danger to life due to the electrical voltage at the Multi-IO Box!
• Only an authorised electrician may open the device.
• Always disconnect from the mains network and secure against unintended activation before opening.
• Disconnect external voltages and secure against activation.
The wiring of the MIOB depends on several factors and must be planned and carried through carefully
by the installer.
The following cross-sections are applicable for plug-in/clamping connections:
• solid wire: 0.75 – 2.5 mm²
• stranded wire (with and without end sleeves): 0.75 – 2.5 mm²
• 8 - 9 mm insulation stripped off the wire
6.1 Supply connection
(see fig. 1 page 2)
6.2 Boiler connection (4.1/4.2)
The terminal 4.1/4.2 is a relay as potential-free switch. For the standalone variant, only the boiler is
connected. If the Alpha IP Access Point is operated using the Alpha IP app, the terminal can also be
used for air dehumidifiers, Change Over Pilot (CO Pilot), or as Switch Actor (see fig. 2 page 2).
6.3 Air dehumidifier connection (Access Point variant)
The Access Point variant allows the operation of a dehumidifier. The dehumidifier can be connected to
terminal 4.1/4.2 (see figure) as well as to the terminal 5.2/5.3. Excessive humidity values in the room air
can be lowered with the air dehumidifier.
(see fig. 3 page 2)
6.4 Change over pilot connection (Access Point variant)
The Access Point variant allows to connect an internal pilot function for toggling the overall system
between the operating modes Heating and Cooling. The CO pilot output signal can be connected to
the terminal 4.1/4.2 as well as to the terminal 5.2/5.3 (see fig.).
