3.2 Caution
1. The finger should be positioned properly (see the illustration appended hereto, Figure 5) to prevent inac-
curate measurements.
2. The SpO
sensor and photoelectric receiving tube must be arranged such that the subject's arteriole is

positioned in-between the former.
3. The SpO
sensor must not be used on a site or limb tied with an arterial canal or blood pressure cuff or

receiving an intravenous injection.
4. Make sure the optical path is free from any optical obstacles such as rubberized fabric.
5. Excessive ambient lighting may affect the measurement result. This includes fluorescent lamps, dual ruby
lights, infrared heaters and direct sunlight, etc.
