B) Programming the deceleration times
Pressing the "PROG" at the point described in fi g.8 will allow you
to set the deceleration times.
The values range from 1 to 3, and the value shown in the fi gure
is relative to the minimum setting ( the following characters will
alternate on the display
and
9
Each time the "SEL" button is pressed the value will increase by
1; once you arrive at
the next time you press "SEL" the display
will show the symbol
, pressing "SEL" again will cycle back
to
. The indication on the display will be alternating if a value
has not been selected and will be fi xed when you arrive at a
previously selected value.
10
Pressing the "PROG" button will set the value on the display: to
change this value press "SEL", and then press "PROG" again.
When the symbol
appears on the display pressing the "PROG"
button will move on to the next programming stage. If instead you
wait for 20 seconds the programmer will save the parameters set
up to now and leave the programming mode.
The deceleration time may be selected from the following
values:
= 1 second
= 2 seconds
The choice should be made to enable a smooth stop with slow
speed only being used where absolutely necessary.
Warning: The
,
out even if deceleration is excluded: It must be decided
whether the electrical sensor works as a travel limit in the last
1,2 or 4 seconds of movement in the closing direction. You are
advised to set a 2 second minimum
C) Programming the electrical sensor settings
= minimum torque
= medium torque
Apart from the letter which appears on display "D1" the
selection procedure is identical to that used for setting the
deceleration times.
The programmer checks the electrical input to the motor, detecting
any eventual increase in effort above the normal operating limits.
To guarantee correct operation even under various climatic and
mechanical conditions, the programmer recalibrates itself each
time it receives an opening command from the "completely closed"
position. This allows the system to detect any increase in effort
which wasn't present during programming and to compensate
so that the force required to block the door remains constant, so
guaranteeing optimum operation.
Attention: During the self-calibrating stage the electrical current
monitoring system will not cut in; you must therefore avoid forcing
the door during the fi rst seconds of the opening operation.
D) Programming the work times
When, during electrical sensor programming, the symbol
appears on the display, pressing the "PROG" button will move you
on to the last stage "work time programming".
The start of the work time programming stage
11
is indicated on the display by the letter
remains for about 2 seconds after which the
display will switch off.
At this point only the "PROG" button should be
used. Each time the button is pressed the time
programming will proceed as follows:
).
9a
10a
= 4 seconds
,
selection must be carried
.
= maximum torque.
The fi rst time you press the "PROG" button the symbol
appear on the display and the work time programming stage, which
is calculated while the gate is moving, will start; The activation of an
opening direction travel limit will end the movement: a margin of 4
seconds is automatically added to the calculated work time. Once
the opening direction programming has been completed the symbol
, will appear on the display and the system will begin counting
the pause time. During this stage the symbol
display if automatic reclosing has been enabled (number
in the program setting).
The second time the "PROG" button is pressed, the pause time will
end, and closing will begin indicated by the symbol
the display. The electrical sensor continues to measure the current
input until the gate reaches fully closed.
When the travel limit is reached, movement will stop, the parameters
will be memorised under EEPROM and the processor will quit the
programming mode. These parameters are checked immediately and
if an error is detected the symbol
this occurs you will have to repeat the programming procedure). The
intervention of the travel direction inversion or blocking photocell or
pressing the blocking button during time programming will stop the
door, while the fl ashing warning light will remain lit, indicating that
the programmer is in an active phase.
The fi gure
will fl ash on the display. The work time count is blocked,
but once the alarm situation has been resolved or the blocking button
has been released (only active while it is being pressed down)
the door movement will start up again automatically, and the
time count will carry on. As each new movement command starts
slowly the work time calculation will be false therefore you must
reprogram the work times.
Warning! Pressing the "SEL" button during time programming
will impede the completion of the procedure
Warning! Program the work time so that the gate always
opens completely. The end of programming is indicated by
the night light switching on (the activation times of which are
now already programmed.
The night light time equals: opening time + pause time + closing time
+ 30 seconds. If you select the semiautomatic function; programming
a long pause period (max. 5 seconds) will increase the activation
time of the night light.
The limited opening time equals: this is calculated as being a third
of the programmed opening time. (eg: opening time = 30 seconds,
limited opening time = about 10 seconds).

REMOTE CONTROL

The motor can be remotely activated using a transmitter: only
the sequential function is available "open-block-close-block" and
this may be activated from any of the available channels. For this
reason for each transmitter enabled you need only use one of
the available channels.
S449 SERIES RADIOCONTROLS
Memory module
This is extractable, furnished with a non volatile EEPROM type memory
and contains the transmitter codes and allows you to memorise up
to 300 codes (300 channel buttons).
The programmed codes are maintained in this module even in the
absence of power.
• Before memorising the transmitters for the fi rst time remember to
cancel the entire memory content.
• Attention! If the electronic card has to be replaced due to failure,
the module can be extracted from it and inserted into the new card.
Make sure that the module is orientated in the direction shown in
