F) POWER DOWN:

When the OptiMix is powered down the last used SAVED program will
be recalled when the unit is turned on. If a modified program is being
used it should be SAVED before the OptiMix is turned off. Failure to
SAVE a program will result in the program being deleted on power
down.

G) DISPLAY SCREEN MESSAGES:

Lid Opened
Appears if the lid is opened while the machine is running and then the
mixing cycle will stop as shown in (Figure 3G-1).
Mix Aborted
Appears if any key is pressed while the machine is running and then
the mixing cycle will stop as shown in (Figure 3G-2).
Invalid Setting
Appears if the entered values for time or speed, or the format, are
incorrect or outside of the allowed range. This message will also be
displayed if an attempt is made to change a setting on a hard coded
program location 10-thru 40 as shown in (Figure 3G-3).
Sensor Error
Appears when there is a loss of speed sensor signal as shown in
(Figure 3G-4) and the mixing cycle stops. The machine should be sent
in for service.

H) INTERNATIONAL LANGUAGE OPTIONS

To select another language, press the "Key #" listed below while
turning the power switch on.

4. TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

PROBLEM
1.
No display appears.
2.
Unit does not run.
3.
Unit runs at irregular speeds.
4.
Display freezes.
Kerr will, upon request, make available circuit diagrams, part lists,
calibration instructions and other information which will aid appropriately
qualified technical personnel to repair parts of the equipment classified as
repairable.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
1a. Activate power switch on rear
panel.
1b. Check
for
correct
voltage
setting.
1c. Check for fuse overload on rear
panel.
1d. Check to see power cord is
properly connected at machine
and the outlet.
2a. Close door to mixing chamber.
2b. Incorrect power setting, check
voltage setting.
2c. Microprocessor lock-up.
machine "OFF", then turn "ON"
power switch.
3a. Unit will regulate speed over a
range of input voltage variation,
if speed is irregular check line
voltage setting.
3b. Lock up, turn machine "OFF",
then turn "ON" using switch on
rear panel.
3c. If mix results become unstable,
unit requires servicing.
4a. Check
for
correct
voltage
settings.
4b. Microprocessor lock-up.
