5. FUSE REPLACEMENT
a)
CAUTION:
Before attempting to change fuses turn the
master power switch S1 "OFF" (O) and disconnect amalgamator
unit from AC outlet (Mains).
b) Switch off master switch S1 and unplug the line cord. Pry the fuse
holder open with a small screwdriver as shown in Figure 5b-1.
Remove the fuses from the holder as shown in Figure 5b-2 and check
to see which fuse is blown. The thin wire in the center of the fuse will
be broken or melted away if it is a defective fuse. Replace the fuse in
the fuse holder and firmly push the fuse holder back into the power
entry block.
c) Replace fuses with same type and value:
115/120V: T 0.63A/250V, part no. 930847
230V: T 0.315A/250V, part no. 930846
6. CLEANING, CARE AND MAINTENANCE
CAUTION: Before cleaning unit turn master power switch
"OFF" (O) and disconnect unit from AC outlet (Mains)!
CAUTION: Do not allow cleaning solution to run into unit
through the power switch, fuse door, or capsule arm opening. this
may damage unit and/or cause electrical shock.
CAUTION: Do not use a bleach solution to clean case, as this
will yellow the surface finish.
Clean the OptiMix case using a soft cloth and Cavicide cleaning solution.
Follow recommendations on Cavicide container.

Use care while wiping windows to avoid scratches.
•
Your OptiMix has been lubricated at the factory and will not
require lubrication for the life of the machine.
•
Calibration of unit is not required as on some amalgamators.
