Connections to the vehicle
•
Connect the plug (36) of the 1st cable to the socket (16) of the timing light and
the induction clamp (41) to the spark plug cable of 1st cylinder (42) by
making sure that the arrow on the induction clamp is turned to the spark plug.
•
Connect the red clamp (15) of the supply cable and the red clamp (13) of the
volt cable to the battery positive pole (39).
•
Connect the black clamp (14) of the supply cable to the battery
negative pole (40).
•
Connect the sensor cable (37) to the socket (17) of the timing light and,
afterwards, to the socket in the motor compartment.
ATTENTION:
The timing light functions only with a 12 Volt voltage which, under ordinary
conditions, is supplied by the car to be examined.
In case of operation on vehicles having a different voltage, supply the instrument
through an external battery (so as to have a constant 12 Volt voltage) and remember to
connect the battery negative pole to the car chassis.
ATTENTION:
A possible polarity inversion in the connection between clamps and battery
does not allow the instrument functioning but does not damage it.
