Operating the machine

5.1 Normal operation

► Check prior to each activation:
– Is the electricity cable in faultfree condition?
– Is the required operating pressure of
5.5 bar present?
► Switch on the machine.
The valves audibly start. The LED lights up green and indi-
cates readiness for operation.

5.2 Prepare wires

Only use wire-end ferrules that match to the wire
cross section.
Observe the allowed stripping length.
► Strip all wires that are to be crimped.

5.3 Crimping the wire

► Use the setting wheel to set the size that corresponds to
the cross section of the wire.
If you select the setting too large, the ferrule can
fall into the crimping tool and jam it.
► Place the wire-end ferrule on the stripped wire end.
► Guide the wire into the insertion funnel until the stop.
► To trigger the crimping process, press the foot switch.
► Once crimping is complete, remove the crimped wire.

5.4 Reset the day's piece quantity

► To reset the day's piece quantity counter, press the reset
button on the front panel (figure 3.1, 3).
The daily counter is set to zero.

5.5 Switching off the machine

► Switch the machine off.
The valves are audibly relieved. The LED goes out.
