Use
•
Fit the required nozzle:
(1) Sector spray nozzle: sprays evenly.
Suitable for short crops and spraying
weedkiller. Stand with the wind behind
you and walk along sideways as you
spray.
(2) Conical spray nozzle: Suitable for pest
control spraying. Stand with the wind
behind you and walk across sideways
as you spray. (3) Adjustable nozzle with
four holes: Suitable for spraying tall crops
and fruit trees. However, it can result in
signi� cant loss of spray.
•
Unscrew the � ller cap (leave the � lter
under the cap) and pour the required
spray into the tank. Replace the cap.
Do not use the backpack sprayer without
water or spray in the tank! This can
damage the membrane.
•
Switch the pump on using the on/off
button.
•
Adjust the straps to a suitable length and
put the tank on your back.
•
Direct the lance towards the area to be
sprayed and press the control lever to
start spraying.
•
Before using the backpack sprayer with
spray, test it using clean water to ensure
there are no leaks and that the atomiser
in the nozzle works correctly.
•
Always stand upwind of the sprayer
when spraying to prevent spray being
sprayed onto you.
•
Switch the pump off after use.
•
The backpack sprayer must be recharged
once the nozzles cannot atomise the
spray properly, if an alarm sounds, or if
the pump emits a knocking noise.

Cleaning and storage
•
Empty the tank after use. Always dispose
of unused spray in accordance with local
rules and regulations!
•
Clean the tank and the � ller cap
thoroughly inside and out after use.
Read the instructions for the spray for
information on the type of cleaning
required. Do not use steel brushes,
scouring pads or strong or corrosive
cleaning agents.
•
Make sure that the tank is completely dry
before storing it.
•
The inside of the pump unit, hose, lance
and nozzle can be cleaned by pouring
some clean water or detergent into the
tank, shaking it and spraying it out as
described under Use.
•
If the backpack sprayer has been used
for a particularly hazardous spray or for
agents that might produce a chemical
reaction with other sprays, it must always
be taken apart and each section must be
cleaned thoroughly.
•
Lubricate the nozzle with lubricating oil
from time to time.
•
Replace the seals if they are leaking,
worn or brittle, or if the pump effi ciency
deteriorates.
•
Do not expose the backpack sprayer to
high temperatures or direct sunlight.
•
Never stand the backpack sprayer upside
down to avoid damaging the battery.
•
Check that the pump is switched off
before long-term storage.
•
Charge the battery at least every other
month.
•
After six months of use, remove the base
and check if the screws have come loose.
Tighten them if they are loose.
