PREPARING HOT WATER
When the machine is ready to dispense steam, fi ll a metal container with the desired amount of water to be heated, immerse the steam wand (P) in the container and
move the switch downwards (Fig. 13). The steam will heat the water.
Once the desired temperature of the water has been reached, move again the switch downwards (Fig.13) to stop dispensing steam.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
To ensure correct operation and high quality coffee, we recommend that the machine is cleaned regularly and carefully.
Operations to be performed with machine cold and unplugged:
• clean the water tank (Q) and the lid (L) (Fig. 18);
• wash the capsule holders under running water(Fig. 16);
• clean the drip tray (Y) (Fig. 17);
• clean the cup holder grid (N);
• clean the steam wand (P) and the dispensing holes; the steam wand spout (O) can be removed to clean it more easily by turning it counter-clockwise from the tube
(Fig. 15).
Important: Always keep the steam wand clean and remove milk residues from the outside and inside of the dispensing holes.
Do not wash the water tank (Q) and the drip tray (Y) in the dishwasher. Carefully remove and empty the drip tray
DESCALING/RINSING
The need to descale the appliance depends on the water hardness, hours of operation and number of coffees brewed.
The machine is equipped with an automatic program that allows to optimize the cleaning cycle and remove the limescale residues from the inside of the machine.
WARNING: If the descaling procedure is not carried out regularly, the correct operation of the appliance may be compromised, resulting in the need for
repair by the service center.
IMPORTANT: The descaling procedure will be performed on the brewing groups and on the steam wand at the same time.

SELECTING THE PROCEDURE
Select the descaling cycle and hold the steam switch (C) pressed upwards for 8 seconds.
Once the steam switch (C) is released all lights start blinking to indicate that the cycle has been selected.
Warning: After the selection, the cycle should be performed within 15 seconds. Should more than 15 seconds be allowed to pass after the Selection, the
machine exits the Descaling mode and returns to the stand-by mode.
STARTING THE DESCALING PROCEDURE
At the end of the descaling cycle only the ON/OFF light (E) blinks to inform the user that to complete the operation the washing cycle described below should be
performed.
Empty all the containers that have been fi lled with the descaling solution.
The machine informs the user when it is necessary to perform a descaling cycle. In this case the lights (E) and (G) start blinking
slowly. The machine continues operating regularly. After a pre-set number of cycle the machine stops dispensing steam. When
the machine reach this point the descaling cycle must be carried out. It is nevertheless possible to continue brewing coffee.
PREPARATION
IMPORTANT: Dissolve in the tank the content of 2 sachets of descaler in 3 litres of water.
Switch the machine on.
Wait until the light of the two brewing groups (F and H) and the steam light (G) turn on.
Place a container under the steam wand (O), with a capacity of at least 1 litre.
Place a container with a capacity of at least 1 litre under each group (L-T).
Activate the cycle. Move the same steam switch (C) upwards for no longer than 2 seconds. The lights (E) and (G) blink quickly
during the descaling cycle. In this phase the machine automatically dispenses the descaling solution. The solution is dis-
pensed automatically at pre-set regular intervals.
