Congratulations on your purchase of this high-quality ESYLUX product. To ensure correct device operation, please read
these installation/operating instructions carefully and keep them in a safe place for future reference.
1 • SaFetY inStructiOnS
CAUTION: work on the 230 V power system must be carried out by authorised personnel only with due
regard to the applicable installation regulations. Switch off the power supply before installing the
system.
Use this product only as intended (as described in the user instructions). Changes or modifications
to the product or painting it will result in loss of warranty. You should check the device for damage
immediately after unpacking it. If there is any damage, you should not install the device under any
circumstances. If you suspect that safe operation of the device cannot be guaranteed, you should
turn the device off immediately and make sure that it cannot be operated unintentionally.
Defective or damaged batteries should be recycled immediately.
2 • PrOtectOr cOntrOl Panel DeScriPtiOn
The PROTECTOR Control Panel danger detection control centre can be used to display all safety-
related information in buildings and features a number of outputs for fire control. On the input
side, you can connect 6 radio groups, each with a maximum of 10 PROTECTOR KRF 9 V radio
smoke detetctors, and you can also connect wired detectors to 5 alarm group inputs. The 12 V /
2 Ah rechargeable battery also provides emergency back-up during prolonged periods of power
outage.
Operation is determined by various different access levels, each of which are password-protected.
The control centre can be programmed using the keypad or via USB using the ESYLUX PROTECTOR
Programming Tool software.
The LAN connection enables remote access, for instance via WLAN or the internet, provided
that the relevant peripheral devices are available. Access via the internet also requires a fixed IP
address or an equivalent service.
