Place the disc with label facing up.
Cassette Compartment (VCR)
Insert the cassette tape straight-ahead.

Receives infrared rays transmitted from the remote control.

Press to stop cassette tape playback and eject the cassette
tape.
F. FWD g button (VCR) (p24)
Press to begin search forward during cassette tape playback,
or fast forward the cassette tape in stop mode.
PLAY B button (VCR) (p24)
Press to begin cassette tape playback.
Press to begin search backward during cassette tape play-
back, or rewind the cassette tape in stop mode.
Press to start basic recording, or press it repeatedly to set the
specified length of the one-touch timer recording.
Lights up when any of recordings are in progress or stand-
by for the timer recording.
Press to select channels or move up/down through the
main menu items.
Lights up when the unit is in TV mode or VCR mode.
Press to switch among TV mode (digital or analog), external
input mode and DVD mode.
Lights up when the unit is in DVD mode.
Press to open or close the disc tray.
Press to stop disc playback.
• Press to skip forward chapters, titles or tracks.
• Press and hold to search forward through a disc.
Press to begin disc playback.
• Press to skip backward chapters, titles or tracks.
