Cutting the power supply wires and
joining them with extension wires
connected to the power supply may be
dangerous. This may cause an accident
if the wires are not connected correctly.
Connection of the refrigeration pipes
-Fit the flexible drainage pipe below
the refrigeration gas pipes (copper
pipes)
-Do not lift up or bend the drainage
pipe.
-Do not wrap the drainage pipe when
it is taut (fig. 2).
Laying the channelling
-Wrap the gas pipe, the drainage pipe
and the connection wires of the indoor
and outdoor units with an adequate
adhesive insulation tape.
-The channelling can be laid pointing
backwards, to the right, downwards,
to the left or pointing backwards and
to the left (fig. 3).
-Fit the drainage pipe below the gas
pipes.
-Join the gas pipes to the drainage pipe,
wrapping them firmly with insulation
tape, staring from the point where the
curve begins (at the contact point, the
width of the tape should be
approximately half).
-If the channelling is laid pointing to
the left, wrap with insulation tape
10mm from the indoor unit (fig.4).
Installation of the indoor unit
-Fit the channelling through the wall,
install the indoor unit over the fixing
plate and fix from below (for example,
with a hook shaped nut) (fig. 5).
Installation of the outdoor unit
-Install the unit on a stable surface (for
example, on a concrete surface). If the
unit is installed on a brick wall, the
wall must be 100mm or thicker.
-Use supports authorized for use with
outdoor air conditioning apparatus.
-If the unit vibrates, apply anti-vibration
rubber below.
-Do not install the unit directly on the
floor, as this could cause problems.
-The inclination of the outdoor unit
must not be greater than 5º
-Keep the outdoor unit at a distance of
- or greater than - 500mm from any
other object at the front, 100mm from
behind from the left and from above,
and 350mm from the right.
-The gas pipes are used to connect the
indoor and outdoor units as indicated
in the diagram below (fig. 6).
-Regulate the quantity of refrigerating
gas: if the length of the channeling is
greater than four metres, an additional
quantity of refrigerating gas must be
added to the unit. R407C
Connection of the gas pipes
-The most probable cause of a gas leak
is a defect in the pipe joints.
-Check the state of the joints before
connecting the copper pipes.
Connection of the indoor unit
-Connect the drainage pipes for liquids
and gases to the indoor unit.
-Smear a fine layer of refrigerating oil
onto the inside of the flared joints of
the connection pipes.
-During the connection process,
position the pipe towards the centre of
the joints and tighten the nuts manually,
turning three quarters of a circle.
-Tighten the nuts with spanners and do
not tighten too much, so as to avoid
breaking the flared parts.
