Cause
The temperature in the
cook chamber does not
exceed 100°F for an
extended period of time.
Possible causes:
• Running out of pellets
• An auger jam
• The ash cup and/or
firepot are overfilled
• A temperature probe
malfunction
• The ignitor did not
initiate the fire
Solution
• First look to see if you have run out of pellets. If you have, refill and
restart your cook session
• If your pellet supply is ok, next you'll check for an auger jam:
1. Drain pellets from QuickDraw Hopper so you can see the auger
at the bottom
2. Turn the grill on and set to "High" and watch for auger movement
• Note – the auger should begin turning immediately for a few
seconds, then it will pause for 90 seconds, then continue nor-
mally.
3. If you do not see auger movement after several minutes, the au-
ger may be jammed, preventing it from feeding pellets into the
firepot. Refer to the trouble shooting section for tips on clearing
an auger jam or call Oklahoma Joe's customer service to assist
with clearing auger jams.
• If your auger is moving properly, check and empty the ash cup and
firepot:
1. Make sure the grill is cool
2. Unscrew the ash cup and dump excess ashes.
3. Remove grates and heat baffle
4. Visually inspect the firepot to ensure it is empty, if it is not, a shop
vacuum can be used to clear the firepot.
5. Reassemble and retry.
• If error continues, check to see if the temp probe is malfunctioning:
1. Turn the grill on and set to "Low"
2. Allow the Preheat cycle to complete (you will see an actual temp
reading on the Pit Control screen instead of "PRE")
3. Using a lighter, carefully heat the tip of the internal temperature
sensor on the left side of the grill wall and look for an increase in
the temp reading on the Pit Control screen.
4. If the temp does not rise, your chamber temp sensor may need
to be replaced. Please call Oklahoma Joe's customer service for
assistance.
• If all of the above are ok, check that the igniter is heating up:
1. Remove grates and baffles
2. Turn the grill on and set to "High"
3. Visually monitor the ignitor to ensure that is glowing. If you do not
see it glowing after several minutes, it may need to be replaced.
Please call Oklahoma Joe's customer service for assistance.
If the error persists, please call Oklahoma Joe's customer service for
