Dear Customer,
The purchase of this high-quality JBL Pro Temp b substrate heater was a wise decision. This
heating cable heats up slightly, thereby generating nearly natural nutrient seeps through
thermal water circulation and promoting lush plant growth.
Special features:
·
Optimum supplying of nutrients due to slow thermal water circulation in the substrate.
·
Creates so-called nutrient seeps in the substrate, similar to the natural habitat of the
aquatic plants.
·
This encourages root growth, thereby leading to magnificent plant growth.
·
The substrate becomes a gigantic biological filter.
Combining the substrate heater with JBL AquaBasis plus as a nutrient substrate and
·
JBL Manado as the top layer guarantees best results.
·
12 V Safety Extra Low Voltage for safe use in aquariums.
·
Silicone-covered heating cable with an energy-efficient electronic transformer.
Safety notices:
Warning: Since equipment for aquariums comes into contact with water, particular care is
needed to avoid electric shock. Should one of the following situations arise, do not repair
the appliance yourself. The appliance must be repaired by an authorised specialist or sent to
JBL GmbH & Co. KG for inspection:
a) If the appliance has fallen into the water, do not try to grab it! Disconnect the transform-
er from the power supply first and then retrieve it. If current-carrying parts of the trans-
former become wet, disconnect it from the power supply immediately!
b) Check the appliance carefully after installation: There should be no water on parts which
are not intended for contact with water.
c) Do not use the appliance if the cable, plug or power supply unit are damaged. Likewise,
the appliance should not be used if it is damaged, has been dropped or is not function-
ing properly.
d) The appliance should be positioned next to a wall socket in a spot where no water can
splash onto the socket or plug. The power cable of the transformer and the PTC resistors
of the heating cable coming out of the aquarium should form a "drip loop" to prevent
any water running along the cable from reaching the mains socket or the transformer.
Never touch the socket or plug if they are wet! First, turn off the electric circuit that the
transformer is connected to by using the fuse switch. Afterwards, pull the plug. Check
all parts for water.
