If a value outside the range + 0.5 A to – 0.5
A is shown the instrument requires calibra-
tion.
This is carried out as follows:
4.2 Calibration of the instrument
Calibration of the instrument is necessary when testing shows
that the 0 position of the instrument is not correct (see section
4.1).
This procedure will restore all details in the memory to the
factory settings.

Procedure:
- Connect the black (4) and the green (5) wires to each other at
the position of the shunt resistance.
- Disconnect the power supply.
- Press both buttons (the '<' and the '>'
buttons) on the instrument simultaneous-
ly and keep them pressed in while the
power supply is connected. Release the
'<' and the '>' buttons when 'S?F?d'
appears in the display.
Disconnect the power supply and restore the connections to the
shunt resistance (the black (4) and the green (5) wires). Set the
instrument as explained in section 4.3.
Always connect the black (4) and green (5) wires to each
other before starting the procedure!
