GENERAL WARNINGS
TheUFB_W devices are built according to the
recognised technical standards and safety regula-
tions. . These systems are designed heating and
air conditioning purposes, and must be used in
applications which are compatible with their per-
formance characteristics.
The company shall not be contractually or non-
contractually liable for any damage to people,
animals or objects, for failures caused by errors
during installation, adjustment and maintenance
or incorrect use. All the uses not expressly indi-
cated in this manual are not allowed.
When carrying out installation, maintenance and
cleaning, wear the appropriate personal protec-
tive equipment (PPE).
The unit must not be used as a shelter for equip-
ment, spare parts, etc.. Any use other than that
shown in this manual may cause hazards and is
therefore prohibited.
WARNING: the electrical connections, the hy-
draulic connections and the installation of fan
coils and relevant accessories, should only be
performed by a technician with the necessary
technical and professional expertise to install,
modify, extend and maintain systems, and who is
able to check the systems for purposes of safety
and correct operation (in compliance with cur-
rent national legislation in the country of use).
In this manual such technicians will be identified
as: qualified and trained technicion with specific
technical skills.
AERMEC shall not be held responsible for any
damage whatsoever resulting from the non-
compliance with these instructions.
Before installation, check that the unit has not
been damaged during transport:
•
the use of a damaged unit could be dangerous;
•
The surface on which the unit will be rested
must be able to support the weight of the unit.
Note:
For any future reference and when you need to
contact AERMEC S.p.A., it will be necessary to
indicate the serial number.
PRESERVATION OF THE DOCUMENTATION
Deliver the following instructions plus all the
complementary documentation to the unit user,
who shall be responsible for keeping the instruc-
tions so that they are always available when
needed.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS AND INSTALLATION
The essential indications to install the device cor-
rectly are given here. The installer's experience
will be necessary however, to perfect all the op-
erations in accordance with the specific require-
ments.
Do not modify or tamper with the unit as this
may result in dangerous conditions; the manu-
facturer will not be responsible for any damage
caused. The warranty shall not be valid if the indi-
cations in this manual are not observed.
Before starting any work, it is necessary TO READ
CAREFULLY THE INSTRUCTIONS, AND TO PER-
FORM THE SAFETY CHECKS TO AVOID ANY RISKS.
All personnel must be aware of the operations,
as well as of the dangers that could arise during
installation of the unit.
The unit should be installed in such a way as to fa-
cilitate routine (filter cleaning) and special main-
tenance operations.
WARNING the appliance must be installed
according to the national plant engineering regu-
lations.
WARNING check that the power supply is
disconnected before carrying out any procedures
on the unit.
WARNING install a device, main switch or
plug that allows you to completely cut off the
power supply to the unit.
WARNING To protect the unit against short-
circuiting, assemble an omnipolar thermomag-
netic switch on the power line, with a 3mm
minimum distance of opening of the contacts. To
avoid any hazards due to accidental restarting of
the heat exchange device, this unit should not be
powered by an external manoeuvre device such
as a timer, and it should not be connected to a
circuit that is regularly powered or discharged by
the service.
WARNING This appliance can be used by
children aged from 8 years and above and per-
sons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and necessary
knowledge if they are supervised or have received
instructions concerning use of the appliance in a
safe way and understand the hazards involved.
Children should not play with the appliance.
Cleaning and maintenance intended to be per-
formed by the user should not be performed by
children without supervision.
WARNING If the power supply cable is dam-
aged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, Af-
ter Sales Service or by another similarly qualified
person, to avoid dangerous situations.
WARNING DANGER! Any use of the unit not
expressly indicated by Aermec is strictly prohib-
ited.
SUPPLY THE AIR TREATMENT UNIT ONLY
WITH THE VOLTAGE SPECIFIED ON THE PLATE
Any other type of power supply could perma-
nently damage the air treatment unit.
