Use and Care Instructions: (Continued)
Light indicators:
When the hands free mode is active, a solid blue light will show at the end of the spout. After 20
minutes of non-use the light will turn off to save power. Even though the light is off the Hands Free
is still active. Turning the water on will result in the light turning on again.
Blue Light – Hands Free active
Red light – Low battery, replace with 4 new D cell batteries. When light is flashing red,
there is about one month left of battery life. If the batteries are not replaced, the electronic
features will cease to operate, and the faucet will revert to a full manual faucet.
Cleaning and care:
Care should be given to the cleaning of this product. Although its finish is extremely durable, it can
be damaged by harsh abrasives or polish. To clean, simply wipe gently with a damp cloth and blot
dry with a soft towel. Special care should be taken around the infrared lens located just in front of
the pull down diverter. Scratching the lens can affect the performance of the Hands Free mode.
See page one for location of lens.
The faucet can be turned on five ways. With the handle in the on position you can:
1. Touch the spout.
2. Touch the handle.
3. Grab the handle.
4. Place your hands under the tip of the spout for hands free activation.
5. Pull the 2 function diverter out of the diverter nest.
Grasping the spout will not change the state of the faucet. If the water is off and you grasp the
spout, maybe to move it to the other side, the water will not turn on. If the water is on and you
grasp the spout, the water will not turn off.
The Hands Free function can be turned off by pressing the "mode" button on the control box
(the top most button). A descending tone indicates the HF Has been turned off. You can
accomplish the same thing by grasping the spout and touching the handle twice quickly. The
Hands Free mode can be turned back on by repeating the above.
The diverter can be undocked by twisting the diverter approximately 30 degrees counterclockwise.
Pull directly down to start the water flow. When the diverter is undocked the Hands Free mode
is automatically deactivated. The water can be shut off by touching the spout or by touching the
handle. Touching the spout or handle again will turn the water on. Turning the handle to the off
position also turns the water off.
The diverter features two functions; an aerated stream and a spray. Pressing the button on the side
of the diverter will change the aerator stream to a spray and back again. This diverter will work
when the diverter is docked or undocked.
Redocking the diverter is accomplished by pushing the diverter upwards. The hose will run through
the spout. Position the button on the diverter so it is about 30 degrees to the left of center when
the button is pointed to the back of the unit. Push until the diverter is fully seated and rotate clock-
wise 30 degrees to lock the diverter in place.
The faucet recalibrates every time the handle is turned on. Therefore, the touch feature will not
work for the first two seconds when the handle is turned on due to the recalibration.
The diverter button must face the rear of the faucet in order for the Hands Free function to work
properly. If the diverter is docked with the button facing the user, it will interfere with the sensor
beam and the Hands Free feature will not work properly. If this happens, undock and reposition the
diverter so the button faces the rear.
The Hands Free requires approximately one second to recalibrate each time the spout is touched
(tap off or grab). If you place an object under the spout immediately after tapping off or grasping
the spout, water will not turn on and the activation point will be unnecessarily high.
There are two time-outs built into the faucet to prevent indefinite water flow:
1. There is a 5 minute time-out for touch and wand pull down activations.
2. There is a 90 second time-out for Hands Free activation.
