1. Press the edge of the battery cover and lift it up to remove.
2. Remove the old batteries and replace with four 1.5V AA size alkaline
batteries or one 3.7V rechargeable Li-ion battery.
3. Close the battery cover. If the batteries are inserted correctly, you will
hear a beep afterwards.
CAUTION: Risk of explosion if battery is replaced by an incorrect type.
Dispose of used batteries according to the instructions.
The Li-ion battery is about the same shape and size as the four alkaline
batteries, thus the location of Li-ion battery is the same as that for
inserting alkaline batteries. If you are installing a Li-ion battery, make
sure the battery is correctly inserted in the compartment.
NOTE:
• Replacing the batteries does not affect the test results stored in memory.
• As with all small batteries, these batteries should be kept away from small
children. If swallowed, promptly seek medical assistance.
• Batteries may leak chemicals if unused for a long time. Remove the batteries
if you are not going to use the device for an extended period (i.e. 3 months or
more).
• Properly dispose of the batteries.
