3. Unscrew the check valve barb
(P169 or P245), remove the check
valve seal (J051), unscrew the
conical nut (P168), remove the
anti-lock ring (P189) and care-
fully pry the check valve assembly
(MPDI122) from the stem.
Using tools could damage the plunger and
affect the injection rate

We recommend cleaning all parts with warm
soapy water and a toothbrush before
installing the new parts.
Water normally lubricates the parts, but you
may use silicone on the o-ring to facilitate
insertion.
Check valve may be taken apart and
cleaned in between maintenance to remove
particles.
CAUTION: Parts may contain
STOP
concentrated chemicals. The use of
Proper Protective Equipment is recom-
mended when performing maintenance.
4. Remove the injection
stem (PJ121) from
the top of the injection
sleeve (P165). Replace
the injection sleeve
o-ring (J024). Insert
the new injection stem
(PJ121) into the top
of the injection sleeve
(P165). Make sure that
the long groove in the
injection stem aligns
with the tooth inside the
injection sleeve.
5.
Reinstall the anti-lock ring (P189) and
the conical nut (P168). Insert the new
P189
check valve assembly (MPDI122)

into the injection stem with the cone

pointing out. Push the new check
valve assembly as far as possible into
J051
the stem. Position the check valve
seal (J051) into the check valve barb

up. NOTE: If your injector is equipped

with a 1/2" viscous barb (P245),
simple reuse it when reassembling
the unit. Hand tighten the check valve
barb. Set aside.

1.
Unscrew suction hose nut (P153 or
P150) and remove suction hose.
Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver
remove the four screws at the base
of the unit.

Pull the injection stem assembly
(CD072 or CD072V) down.
6.
Replace the plunger seal (J009).
Reinsert injection stem assembly
(CD072 or CD072V) into the body.

7.
Align the metal collar (M079) with

the holes in the body. Install the
four screws using a #2 Phillips
screwdriver. Slide suction hose nut
(P153 or P150) onto the suction
hose, reattached suction hose onto
check valve barb and tighten
suction hose nut (P153 or P150).

hose is
air-tight, you
may choose
to carefully
cut the top of
hose before
reinserting.
