plates
Before using the Cuisinart® multi-function Griddle and Grill, wipe
the body of the appliance, the cover and the controls with a damp
cloth. Wash the cooking plates, the drip cups and the scraping
tool in hot soapy water or in the dishwasher. Refer to Cleaning
and Maintenance for more information.
Inserting the cooking plates:

notches intended for this purpose (Fig. 1). To remove the plates
press the little release button on the side of the appliance (Fig. 2).

C . Placing the drip cups
When using the grill in the closed position, only one drip cup is
required. Place it directly under the drip spout during cooking
(fig. 3). When using the grill in the open grill position, use both
drip cups, placing them on either side of the appliance under the
drip spouts (fig. 4). Plug the appliance in, and the grill is ready to
use.

- A red indicator light lets you know that the appliance is on.
- When the unit reaches the selected temperature, a green
indicator light will let you know that the appliance is ready for
cooking. During use, the thermostat regulates the temperature
and the light will turn on and off. This is normal.
Note: When you use your grill for the first time, it may have a
slight odour and may smoke a bit. This is normal and common to
