1 Power button
Use to set power to ON/standby mode.
2 Power indicator
Lights to indicate the unit's power status.
Lighted yellow: ON (unit can be operated).
Off: Standby (indicates power cord is connected and unit
is in standby mode).
3 Operating buttons
Use to operate the player.
DAC mODE
Press to switch to digital/analog converter input. This
operation can be performed when disc play is stopped.
VOL (−/+) button
Adjust the line output volume of the unit.
note
' Hold down the VOL (+) button while the output is set to
78 (maximum value) to fix the output to the maximum
value.

Press to open and close the disc tray.

Press to stop playback.
CAUTION
' When using the volume function and connecting directly to a power amplifier (without using a pre-amplifier), be sure
to make the connection only after setting the volume to 0 (zero). If the connection is made with the volume set high, an
excessively loud sound may be produced and the speakers or your hearing may be damaged.
' When going on vacation, or otherwise leaving the unit unused for an extended period of time, the power plug should
be disconnected from its power outlet.

Press to play or pause disc. When pressed during
playback, enters pause mode.
Press to return to beginning of currently playing track.
Press to advance to beginning of next track.
4 SACD indicator
This indicator lights when an SACD disc has been
inserted, or when the SACD layer of an SACD/CD hybrid
disc has been selected.
5 Display
The display provides information about the TAD-
D1000MK2's many operations and functions.
6 Disc tray
Load discs here.
7 Remote control sensor
Point remote control unit at this sensor to operate.
Effective distance is within about 7 meters (23 ft.).
note
' Repeat mode is canceled if the disc play is stopped.
