Symptom
No sound is produced
for USB input.
The USB input's
sampling rate is always
the same.
Computer sounds
(other than music
sounds) are audible
from the USB input.
When input is set to
something other than
USB, the unit can't
play music files on the
computer's playback
software.
Power can't be turned
off.
The power turns off by
itself.
Display is not visible.
The remote control
doesn't work.
Static electricity or other external influences may cause malfunctioning of this unit. In this case, unplug the power cord and
then plug back in. This will usually reset the unit for proper operation. If this does not correct the problem, please consult your
dealer.
This unit is designed as a consumer audio product (audio/video component). It is not designed for long continuous
use as a commercial BGM source, nor for use in automobiles, ships, or outdoors.

Possible cause
The file format, OS, or playback software is not
supported.
Depending on the computer's setting, the
sampling rate may remain the same even
when playback files have different sampling
rates.
Depending on computer settings, the
computer's boot-up beeps or error sounds may
be audible from the unit.
When not set to USB input, the computer
doesn't recognize the unit.
The 12 V trigger input connector's signal is at
"H" value.
If the ECO (power-saving) mode is turned ON,
the unit will automatically enter standby mode
if no operation is performed on the unit for 30
minutes.
The display viewing angle is within 45° to right/
left from the front of the unit.
The unit is set to display off.
' The remote control's batteries are expended.
' The remote control is being used too far
away from the main unit.
' Angle is bad.
' Line of sight to the main unit is blocked.
' Strong light from a fluorescent lamp or
other light source is directly striking the
signal receiver.
Remedy
Confirm that the OS, software, and file sampling
rate are supported (page 17).
Check the computer settings.
Check the computer settings.
Switch to USB input, and reset the computer's
sound setting to TAD-USB1 or TAD-USB2D.
Turn off the power to the device generating the
12 V trigger output.
Set the ECO (power-saving) mode to OFF (page
18).
View the display from immediately in front of the
unit.
Press the DISP OFF button on the main unit (or
the DISPLAY OFF button on remote control) to
cancel the display off function.
' Replace the batteries with new ones.
' Use the remote control from within a distance
of 7 meters (23 ft.), and within an 30° arc to
right/left of the unit's front panel.
' Remove obstacles between the main unit
and remote control, or change to a different
location when operating the remote control.
' Readjust the position of lamps or other light
sources so that strong light does not strike the
signal receiver.
