Width detection area adjustment
The width of the detection area can be changed by switching
to the other prism. (Factory setting: Wide prism)

CAUTION
■ The detection area width must be set wider than the threshold.
■ When people enter the door area from the side of the door rather than the front,
the detection area must widen in the direction from which people come in.

With Dipswitch 8 in ON position only the fisrt row of the presence detection area is active.
With Dipswitch 8 in OFF position all the sensor functions are active.
Depth detection area adjustment

Note:
The PASAA2 is equipped with the possibility to adjust the presence detection area
minus 10° into the threshold. To adjust the minus angle the use of an Infrared finder (like
PASTEST) is recommended. The default setting is 3°.
To adjust the presence detection angle:
1. Remove the protective sticker
2. Switch dipswitch "8" to on. Only the first row of presence detection becomes active
* Door open state
3. Turn the Infrared finder to "on"
4. Place the Infrared finder in the far side of the threshold approximately 5 cm away from
the door wings
5. Turn the presence angle adjustment screw to "deep"
6. Start to turn the presence angle adjustment screw to "shallow" until the Infrared finder
slightly starts to blink and/or beep

7. Set dipswitch 8 to "off"
8. Remove all items from the detection area
9. Make a hard reset (switch the power)
10. Step away from the door and wait for approximately 10 seconds
11. Installation is completed
To adjust the presence detection area without the use of the Infrared finder:
Use the procedure as described above but use the PASAA2 LED indicator instead. As long as the LED
continues to blink red their is detection on the first row of presence detection. This can indicate that the
sensor detects the door movement. Turn the presence detection angle screw to "deep".

Use the area adjustment tool to operate the activation width adjustment lever as in the figure on the below.

The 5th row, 4th row, and 3rd rows areas can be erased by
combining dipswitches 6 and 7.
* When 2-row setting is selected, only the presence detection area
remains.
