move are always clean and slightly lubricated with oil
or grease.
• Check the clamps and their locking/tightening mecha-
nism for proper operation.
• Check the PTFE coating of the spigots and sockets.
Their surface should be homogeneous and without
scratches. If the material integrity is compromised or
the piece is damaged, it should be replaced.
• At the end of every job — preferably when the spigot
and socket are still warm —, remove any residues of
the thermoplastic material with a cloth or soft paper.
When removing residues or handling still-warm
sockets and spigots in any way, always wear
heat-resistant protective gloves.
Caution
Using water in any way, e.g., for cooling or clean-
ing, with the machine or the sockets and spigots
is strictly prohibited.
