PERFORMANCE CERTIFIED BY EUROVENT
The performances of Galletti's FC/NT fan coils series are certified by
EUROVENT
which guarantees, within the limits shown below, the
reliability of the data reported IN this technical manual:
- Cooling capacity
- Heating capacity
- Pressure drop on water side
- Power input
- Air flow
- A-weighted sound power level
The certified performances are reported on "EUROVENT Directory of
Certified Products" in the section Fan coil units.
1
BEFORE THE INSTALLATION
Carefully read this handbook.
Installation and maintenance should be carried out by technical personnel
qualified for this type of machine, in compliance with current safety regulations.
When receiving the unit please check its state verifying if any damage occurred
during the transport.
For installation and use of possible accessories please refer to the pertinent
technical sheets.
Identity the model of the fan coil series FC/NT from the indications stated on the
carton package.
2
USE AND OPERATING LIMITS
Galletti S.p.A. shall not be held liable where the unit has been installed by non-
qualified personnel, it has been used improperly or under conditions that are not
permitted, the maintenance operations specified in this manual have not been
carried out or where non original spare parts have been used.
Operating limits are shown here below; all other uses are considered improper:
- thermal fluid: water
- water temperature: from 5°C to 95°C
- maximum operating pressure: 10 bar
- maximum air temperature: 43°C
- power supply: +/- 10%
In choosing where to install the unit, comply with the following points:
- do not install the unit in rooms where inflammable gases are present
- do not let water is sprayed directly on the unit;
- install the unit on walls that bear its weight. Leave enough space all around for
proper operation and maintenance of the unit.
Keep the unit in its packaging until it is ready to be installed, to prevent dust getting
inside it.

INSTALLATION
Remove control panel frame using the two snapped-on springs and then the
cabinet by unscrewing the 4 fastening screws reachable through the lifted side
doors (figure 3, page 19).
Install the bearing unit onto the wall using the 4 mounting slots and the supplied
anchor screw, keeping the unit at least 100 mm above the floor for a proper air
suction and an easy pulling out of the filter.
Carry out the hydraulic connections to the heat exchanger and in case of cooling
operation, to the water drainage system.
We suggest to provide for the water inlet from the upper side of the heat-exchanger
and the outlet on the bottom side for optimum use of the heat exchanger and to
obtain proper back flow heat exchange.
For a better water drainage lean the drain pipe downwards at least 3 cm/m
avoiding loops or narrowing on its way.
Purge the air from the heat-exchanger using the air vent valve located beside the
upper heat-exchanger connection.
Carry out the electrical wiring after having turned the power off in compliance
with the current safety regulations following the diagram of figure 4 page 19.
Check that the power supply corresponds to the rated power reported on the unit
nameplate.
Electric connections in dotted lines should be carried out by the installer.
Each fan coil should have a single socket and a switch (IL) with suitable fuse (F).
On the wiring diagrams the following abbreviations are used:
BK
Black = max. speed
BU
Blue = medium speed
CC
Incorporated selection switch
F
Fuse, not supplied
IL
Line switch, not supplied
M
Motor
RD
Red = min. speed
TC
Fan stop thermostat (accessory)
WH
White = common

TEST RUN
- Check that the unit is perfectly levelled and that the drain pipe is not obstructed
(rubble deposits, etc.) in order to permit proper water drainage and air vent from
the heat-exchanger.
- Check that the water connections (to the heat-exchanger and water drainage)
are sealed.
- Check that the electrical wiring is perfectly tight.
- Be sure that the air purge of the heat-exchanger has been carried out.
Replace the cabinet. Check that the aligning spacer hooks are correctly fitted into
the slots of the cabinet (figure 5, page 19).
Replace the control panel frame.
Turn on the power supply and check the unit running.
The air outlet grills can be swivelled 180° to direct the flow into the room or
towards the wall behind the unit.
The unit is supplied with the outlet grills directing the air behind.
The grills and the side doors are snapped onto the cabinet. Before removing them
in order to change their position, cut the power off and wear protective gloves.

USE
The control panel can be reached lifting the right side door.
It comprises a speed selection switch (ventilation)
stopping the unit, as shown in figure 6 page 20 where:
