2. Prepare the Site

CAUTION: Risk of product damage. The media box is rated to operate in temperatures up to
104°F (40°C). Do not install under a whirlpool surround or in any location where the temperature
may exceed 104°F (40°C).
The media module is designed to fit within a 13" (33 cm) to 19" (48.3 cm) wide 2x4 stud cavity. The
cavity should be free of cross bracing and insulation.
Locate the upper bracket a minimum of 24" (61 cm) down from the top of the stud cavity and a
minimum of 32-1/2" (82.6 cm) above the bottom of the stud cavity.
Measure 2-5/8" (6.7 cm) to 2-7/8" (7.3 cm) in from the stud face to determine the bracket placement.
Mark the bracket locations with a pencil.
Install a 120 V GFCI electrical outlet within the stud framing, in close proximity to the media
module.
If used, run the Ethernet cable to the media module installation site.
Using a hole saw, drill 1" (2.5 cm) holes through the studs at the top and bottom of the wall cavity
to allow for proper air flow.
