6. MAINTENANCE
The MultiPlus does not require specific maintenance. It w ill suffice to check all connections once a year. Avoid moisture and
oil/soot/vapours, and keep the device clean.

7. ERROR INDICATIONS

With the procedures below, most errors can be quickly identified. If an error cannot be resolved, please refer to your Victron Energy
supplier.

7.1 General error indications

Problem
No output v oltage on
AC-out-2.
MultiPlus will not switch
ov er to generator or mains
operation.
Inv erter operation not
initiated when switched on.
"Low battery " LED f lashes.
"Low battery " LED lights.
"Ov erload" LED f lashes.
"Ov erload" LED lights.
"Temperature" LED f lashes
or lights.
"Low battery " and "ov erload"
LEDs f lash intermittently .
"Low battery " and "ov erload"
LEDs f lash simultaneously .

Cause
MultiPlus in inv erter mode
Def ectiv e fuse F3 (see appendix
A).
Circuit breaker or f use in the
AC-in input is open as a result of
ov erload.
The battery v oltage is
excessiv ely high or too low. No
v oltage on DC connection.
The battery v oltage is low.
The conv erter switches of f
because the battery v oltage is
too low.
The conv erter load is higher than
the nominal load.
The conv erter is switched of f due
to excessiv ely high load.
The env ironmental temperature
is high, or the load is too high.
Low battery v oltage and
excessiv ely high load.
Ripple v oltage on the DC
connection exceeds 1,5Vrms.
The inv erter is switched of f due
to an excessiv ely high ripple
v oltage on the input.
Solution
Remov e ov erload or short
circuit on AC-out-2 and
replace f use F3 (16A).
Remov e ov erload or short
circuit on AC-out-1 or AC-out-
2, and reset f use/breaker.
Ensure that the battery v oltage
is within the correct range.
Charge the battery or check
the battery connections.
Charge the battery or check
the battery connections.
Reduce the load.
Reduce the load.
Install the conv erter in cool
and well-v entilated
env ironment, or reduce the
load.
Charge the batteries,
disconnect or reduce the load,
or install higher capacity
batteries. Fit shorter and/or
thicker battery cables.
Check the battery cables and
battery connections. Check
whether battery capacity is
suf f iciently high, and increase
this if necessary .
Install batteries with a larger
capacity . Fit shorter and/or
thicker battery cables, and
reset the inv erter (switch of f ,
and then on again).
