Intended use
The appliance is designed for remote,
non-contact temperature measure-
ment using the thermal radiation of
the object surface� It allows meas-
uring the object surface tempera-
ture that is difficult or dangerous to
measure with a contact method (for
example, moving objects, objects un-
der voltage, hard-to-reach or sterile
objects)�

Installation / regulation
Installing batteries (see fig. 1)
Open cover 5 (see fig. 1).
Install batteries 10, observing the
polarity�
Close cover 5�
The need to replace batteries 10 is
indicated with sign 15�
Switching on / off
Switching on:
Press on / off switch 3� When the
on / off switch 3 is pressed, sign 16 ap-
pears on LCD display 8 (the measure-
ment is in progress)�
Switching off:
Release on / off switch 3� After that,
LCD display 8 will show sign 11 (meas-
urement value) and sign 14, indicating
that the value is fixed.
Working advice
See fig. 2 - the size of the area (D),
from which the measurements are
read, depends on the distance between
the appliance (S) and the measurement
object (ratio 1:12)� As the distance to
the measurement object increases,
the size of the area increases as well�
Therefore, before measurement, make
sure that the size of the object is larger
than the measurement area; otherwise
the measurement will be inaccurate�
Glossy or polished surfaces have
a different reflection factor, so errors
