Reinstall the Valve
CAUTION: Risk of product damage. Do not overtighten the
valve cover. The ceramic faucet body may crack if the valve
cover is overtightened.
Position the two valve pins into the holes at the top of the valve
body.
Lubricate the valve body O-ring with soapy water or liquid soap.
Thread the valve cover onto the valve body. Securely finger
tighten.
NOTE: If available, use a torque wrench and tighten the valve cover
to between 8 ft lbs (10.8 Nm) and 12 ft lbs (16.3 Nm).
Taking care not to overtighten, use a 1-1/8" socket to tighten the
valve cover. Do not tighten beyond 1/8 turn beyond finger tight.
With the valve stem in the "Off " position, turn on the water
supplies.
Inspect the valve assembly for leaks.
If leaks are observed, turn off the water and carefully tighten the
valve cover an additional 1/8 turn.
Carefully repeat these steps until there is no leakage.
Turn off the water supplies.
