(3) Place a small flathead screwdriver between the lateral bracket
and the plastic U-ring (as shown in Fig. 2).
(4) Disengage the lateral bracket by applying the screwdriver to the
back portion of the bracket (Fig. 3).
(5) Install the new bracket inside the U-ring. Be sure to install the
left and right brackets on the corresponding sides of the helmet.
The right bracket (designated with "R") should be installed on
the right side of the helmet when in the "as worn" position; the
left bracket (designated with "L") should be installed on the left
side of the helmet when in the "as worn" position.
(6) The replacement bracket is assembled correctly when a "click"
is heard, verifying the complete engagement of the bracket
(Fig. 4 and 5).
(7) Reinstall the impact cap to the shell by fastening both Torx
screws. Ensure the screw covers on both lateral brackets are
snapped closed, covering the screws underneath.
(8) Reattach the face shield and ocular bracket or ocular visor, as
applicable.
