10.4 Use of green filter
• Green filter is used to increase the contrast of the
image during phase contrast observation.
• Place the filter on the field lens of the microscope
and begin the observation. (Fig. 55)
• For brightfield or darkfield observation it advisa-
ble to remove the green filter from the light path.
