before use

1. Verify that the product and the application are compatible;
if in doubt call a NAPA Professional Lifting Authorized
Repair Center.
2. Before using this product, read the owner's manual
completely and familiarize yourself thoroughly with the
product, its components and recognize the hazards
associated with its use.
3. Locate and remove the oil filler plug. This will help release
any pressurized air which may be trapped within the
reservoir. Ensure the oil level is just below the oil filler plug
hole. Re-install the oil filler plug.
4. Pour a teaspoon of good quality, air tool lubricant into the
air supply inlet. (See Illustration, Page 3) Connect to air
supply and to application, then operate for 3 seconds to evenly
distribute lubricant.
5. Check for leaks in system and repair as needed. Before
repairs are made, disconnect air source and application,
then depressurize reservoir. Do so simply by pressing the
treadle for 3 seconds. Always use pipe thread compound
when servicing connections.
6. Replace worn or damaged parts and assemblies with NAPA
Professional Lifting Authorized Replacement Parts only
(See Replacement Parts Section). Lubricate as instructed
in Maintenance Section.
7. Use adequate eye protection when operating or near
this equipment.

how to fill reservoir
1. Disconnect hydraulic hose from application, remove air
source from pump.
2. With reservoir horizontal, remove the vent/oil filler plug.
3. Use a small funnel to fill reservoir to within 1/4 inch (5 mm)
of the opening.
warning: Use only a good quality hydraulic jack fluid.
Never use brake fluid, transmission fluid, turbine oil, motor oil,
alcohol, glycerin etc. Use of other than good quality hydraulic oil
will void warranty and damage the pump and hose.
4. Wipe up any spilled fluid and install oil filler plug.
5. Return pump to original position (parallel to a flat level
surface), reconnect application and air source. Operate for a
few seconds, then check for leaks.
changing oil
1. For best results, change fluid once a year.
2. With reservoir horizontal, remove the vent/oil filler plug.
3. Dispose of fluid in accordance with local regulations.
4. Fill with a good quality hydraulic jack oil as recommended
above. Reinstall oil filler plug.

lubricaTion

(When no in-line oiler is used)
1. When used daily, pour a teaspoon of good quality air tool oil
into the air source inlet of pump. Connect hydraulic hose to
application, connect air source to pump and operate pump a
few seconds to evenly distribute fluid.
2. Use a light machine oil to lubricate pivot points, hinges etc.
warning: Never operate pump while disconnected
from application. If operated in this condition, the hose and
connections become pressurized. This increases the burst
hazard. Damage may occur to pump and its components.
operaTion
1. Connect to suitable application, then to air source of at least
7.8 CFM @ 90psi, then press treadle section down slowly,
carefully until air motor activates.
2. Operate pump until desired position is reached. Stop further
