Important: The instructions concerning chain cutters
and replacement of chain cutting tools, included
in the Operating Manual for the chain mortiser CMP 150,
must be followed.
Operation
After loosening of the locking lever on the sliding shoe
housing and removing the locking pin (7), the guide frame
can be swiveled against the sliding plate within the range
of 105° according to the scale (18).
– The position 0° can be fixed by pushing the locking pin
in its hole.
– Place the guide strip (19) of the sliding shoe (1) so that
it is flush with the guiding face of workpiece.
– If necessary, the footings (20) of the sliding shoe (1)
can be fixed to the workpiece by means of ordinary
screw clamps.
– Adjust vertical height of the groove by means of the
hand wheel. Loosen the lateral clamp by turning the
handle (10) and loosen the chain guide fixture.
– After vertical height of the groove has been adjusted,
retighten the lateral clamp.
– Pull the chain guide, still loosened, towards the motor,
with lifting the retention bolt (21) on the sliding block
(22) simultaneously, for the reason of achieving the
same vertical position of the chain guide.
– Tighten the locking lever of the chain guide and push the
chain guide forwards, so that it is captured by the latch (23).
– Adjust the grooving depth by means of the adjustment
ring (6) on the vertical guide rod.
Important: The chain cutter is a rotating tool. Cutting
edges of the chain cutter can work both during descent
and ascent. See the direction of rotation marked with the
arrow on the safety guard.
Side thrust of the cutting tool must always be compensa-
ted by means of the lateral guide. Danger of accident!
If a large mortice is made by plunging the chain cutter
into the workpiece side by side, it is recommended to
proceed in accordance with Figure 3.
Transport
Fix the sliding shoe (1) at the outermost end of the
horizontal guide rods between the slotted spring pin (5)
and the adjustment ring (6). Should the chain mortiser
remain installed in the guide frame for horizontal groove
cutting during transport, care must be taken that the chain
guide does not rest on the floor, for the reason of avoidance
bending or twisting of the guide rail.
Warning: Danger of damage to the cutting tool!
Danger of accident!

Maintenance and care
All the guide rods and tubes and particularly the toothed
rack must be cleaned of dirt regularly and protected
against rusting by regular lubrication.

Storage
Packed tools may be stored in dry unheated storerooms
with temperatures not dropping below – 5 °C. Unpacked
electric tools shall be stored only in dry self-contained
storerooms with temperatures not dropping below + 5 °C,
where sudden temperature changes are prevented.
Recycling
After their service life is ended, submit the tool,
its accessories and packages to a disposal premise to allow
reusing of the raw materials.
To allow material-sorted recycling, all plastic components
are marked with relevant symbols.
Service
See enclosed sheet.
Guarantee
We guarantee appliances in accordance with statutory /
country-specific regulations (proof of purchase by invoice
or delivery note). Damage attributable to normal wear and
tear, overload or improper handling will be excluded from
the guarantee. In case of complaint please send the
maschine, undismantled, to your dealer or the Service
Centre for electric power tools.
Noise / vibration information
Measured during cutting mortices in the workpiece
Measurement conditions:
Workpiece: Spruce / 1000 x 140 x 140 mm
Cutting tool: Chain cutter
Operating conditions: Cutting mortices 28 x 40 mm
Noise and vibration levels measured and determined
according to EN 50144-1.
The typical A-weighted noise levels of the electric tool are:
Sound pressure level: 94 dB(A)
Sound power level: 107 dB(A).
Use ear protection!
The typical level of hand-arm vibration is less than
2,5 m/s
