PREPARATION FOR USE
Remove the filter from its outer packaging. CAUTION: Care should
be exercised when using previously unpacked filters as they
may have reduced service life or may have been used.
Check that the filter is appropriate for the purpose – check colour
code, letter code and class. Before initial use, always check that the
product is within the stated shelf life (use by date). Inspect each
cartridge for any visible damage to the cartridge. Ensure the plastic
cartridge connector is not damaged. Do not use damaged
cartridges.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
1.Align the port end of the cartridge or filter with the port on the
facepiece (Figure 1).
2. Push the filter into the connector until you hear a click and the blue
filter release button raises back to its initial position prior to attaching
the cartridge/filter (Figure 2). If the cartridge does not "click" into
place when inserted it may be due to the angle of insertion. Lift up
slightly on the cartridge until the cartridge clicks into place (Fig. 3).
3. Repeat with second filter.
4. To remove the cartridge depress the blue cartridge/filter release
button and simultaneously pull outward on the cartridge (Fig. 4).
If using D805X/D807X with a replaceable D7900 prefilter, please
see user information supplied with D7900 filters for assembly
information.
Replace cartridge in accordance with an established change
schedule or earlier if smell, taste or irritation from contaminants is
detected. The service life of filters will depend upon the activity of the
wearer (breathing rate); the specific type, volatility and concentration
of the contaminants; and environmental conditions such as humidity
and temperature.
