23. If runner hub bushing interferes
with smooth travel of runners in
the RH and LH columns, grind
off the outboard surface of hub
bushing to 1/16" from outside
surface of the runner (FIG. 9-1).
NOTE: Time to lower platform
may vary for different size
platforms.
24. Raise the platform to bed height
(FIG. 9-2). Then, lower the platform
to the ground (FIG. 9-2). Look for the
following conditions.
• Platform lowers smoothly.
• Platform lowers evenly on both sides
• Platform lowers in 16 to 25 seconds
25. If platform raises and lowers
correctly, reinstall the LH and
RH runner covers (FIG. 9-2).
Torque 6 bolts on each runner
cover to 9-14 lb-ft.
