4.3 On models with AVS:
Check the shock-absorber and the insulating sleeves twice 
per season. Replace if damaged or worn.
4.4 Battery recharging (where applicable)
• Electric key ignition models
      T o recharge a flat battery, connect it to the battery charg-
er  (1)  following  the  instructions  in  the  battery  mainte-
nance manual.
      D o  not  connect  the  battery  charger  directly  to  the  en-
gine  terminal.  It  is  not  possible  to  ignite  the  engine  us-
ing the battery charger as a power source, as it may get 
damaged. 
      I f you do not use the lawnmower for a long period of time, 
disconnect  the  battery  from  the  engine  wiring,  making 
sure the charge level is good.
• Electric push-button ignition models
Read  the  engine  instruction  manual  for  instructions  re-
garding autonomy, recharging, reinstating and  maintenan-
ce of the battery.
4.5 Cleaning the interior (where applicable)
To clean the internal parts of the lawnmower:
–    c onnect a water hose to its pipe fitting (1);
–    l ower the cutting height as far as possible;
–    a lways stand behind the lawnmower handle;
–    s tart the engine.
4.6 Adjusting the converter cable (if fitted)
This adjustment is necessary when the lever (1) tends not 
to remain in the «
» position.
With the lever (1) in the «
ster (2) in the direction indicated by the arrow as needed to 
ensure the lever remains in position.
IMPORTANT The adjustment must be made when the
engine is off.
