ERKAPHON
Convex membrane, single-channel-tube. Particularly suitable for the
measurement of blood pressure. The chest piece can be easily slid under
the blood pressure cuff.
ERKAPHON CHILD
The smaller version of the Erkaphon. The ergonomically shaped chest
piece is perfectly suited to be able to auscultate optimally in inaccessible
or very small areas.
ERKAPHON ALU
The aluminium version of the Erkaphon. The stethoscope complies with
the basic requirements for a moderate price, whereby the high quality
components of Erkaphon series guarantee an excellent auscultation. The
design suitable for the MR-room fulfils the requirements of ASTM F2052
- 06e1 (Standard Test Method for Measurement of Magnetically Induced
Displacement Force on Medical Devices in the Magnetic Resonance
Environment) up to 3 Tesla.
ERKAPHON BLACK LINE
The black version of the Erkaphon Aluminum. The chest piece of alu-
minum is easy and quick to clean
ERKAPHON DUO
Convex membrane, funnel, single-channel-tube. The membrane side is
used for auscultation of the entire frequency range, the funnel side for the
auscultation of lower frequencies.
ERKAPHON DUO CHILD
The smaller version of the Erkaphon Duo. The small double chest-piece is
optimally matched to the children auscultation.
ERKAPHON DUO ALU
The aluminum version of the Erkaphon Duo. The chest piece is quick and
easy to clean. The use of efficient materials and durable, compact design
make this stethoscope a real economic alternative.

3. HANDLING THE STETHOSCOPE
Please note the following points in order to obtain a perfect audio quality:
Place the stethoscope on the head so that the ear plugs show in the
viewing direction. This ensures that the ear plugs are inserted according to
the anatomy of the ear canal from behind the ear.
You can reduce the preload of the stethoscope and thus reduce the
pressure on the ear canal by taking the head band between thumb and
forefinger and pull the limbs apart slowly.
If the preload is not sufficient to ensure a tight fit of the stethoscope
in your ears, then you can increase the tension by taking the headband
between thumb and forefinger and gently squeeze the limbs.
Ensure regularly that the ear tips are plugged firmly on the ends of
the headband.
SWITCHING WITH STETHOSCOPES WITH DOUBLE CHEST PIECE
When using a stethoscope with double chest piece, you must ensure that
you have selected the side suitable for the purpose of use by turning the
chest piece. Only one side is activated always for the auscultation. The
change takes place by turning the chest piece 180° until a click is felt.
4. IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Check the stethoscope before each use as to its proper function.
Do not use this product when it displays visible damage.
