Assembling

2.1

Rupture valve orientation or replacement

OMARLIFT rupture valves are assembled on the cylinders already in the factory, before their delivery. The valves can
be oriented in four directions, with 90° intervals.
1. If the orientation of the valve needs to be changed, operate as follows:
a) unscrew the four fixing screws using a proper hex key (6 mm for valves VP 114/ VP 112 and 8 mm for
valve VP 200);
b) put the valve in the wanted position; be careful that the 0-ring seal remains in its seat without being
damaged;
c) fix the valve, screwing the four screws, and block them finally torque by torque, following a diagonal
direction.
Suggested tightening torque 25 Nm for screw M8, 40 Nm for screw M10.
2. If an old OMARLIFT rupture valve needs to be replaced or an OMARLIFT rupture valve has to be assembled on a
non-OMARLIFT cylinder, it is necessary to:
a) be sure that the valve size is the proper one, the fixing system has a squared flange with screws having
the proper dimensions located at a proper distance, the Q-ring seal is appropriate according to the
needed dimensions, otherwise contact OMARLI FT;
b) and c) see point 1.

2.2.1

Valves VP 114 - VP 112

OMARLIFT rupture valves VP 114 and VP 112 are equipped with a cutting ring 24° bevel fitting. It is possible to
connect either a rigid steel pipe or a flexible hose.
In case of a rigid steel pipe, the dimensions to be used are:

Valves VP 200

OMARLIFT rupture valve VP 200 is equipped with a female thread 2" GAS and can be used with the following
connections:
a) male/male connection 2" GAS with 60° bevel. For the connection a flexible hose 2", with 60° bevel fittings and a
turning female nut 2" GAS are used;
b) three-way special fitting OMARLIFT (see Fig. 1). This fitting has a male 2" thread which has to be fixed to the valve
VP 200 and two end fittings with cutting ring, 24° bevel and a turning nut M 52 x 2. These connections can be
assembled parallel on the same side or on two opposite sides (exchanging the connections with the caps), The
two outlets with end fittings can be connected through rigid pipes ø 42 or through flexible hoses 1" 1/2 (as in the
tables in this page).
