3.4 Typical Installation
Typical installation to an anchorage point is demonstrated in
Figure 3. The authorized person/user must ensure that the
carabiner is installed in such a way that its keeper will close
and lock properly. Make sure carabiner is positioned so
that its keeper is never load bearing.
Removal: Simply repeat the operation instructions to open
the carabiner gate and remove it from the system.

3.5 Captive Eye Pin Installation
To create a captive eye within the carabiner for attach-
ment of connecting devices, drive the pin through both
the pre-drilled holes on the carabiner until flush as shown
in Figure 4.
4.0 Inspection and Maintenance
Inspection
Check the carabiner to be sure that it operates freely and the keeper closes and locks automatically
when released. Inspect for signs of damage—any bent, cracked, or distorted components. Units
that do not pass this inspection or have been subjected to fall arresting forces must be
removed from service.
Servicing
A record log of all servicing and inspection dates for this device should be maintained. Contact

tions.
Cleaning and Storage
Clean the device to remove any dirt, paint, or other materials that may have accumulated.
Store in a clean, dry area when not in use.
