5.3 Mixing of the investment compound
Dose Biosint Extra and mixing liquid and mix as described under 4 1
We recommend as mixing ratio 100 g powder : 15 ml liquid
Note: The casting mould should be produced in the same or somewhat
5.4 Investing
Let the mixed investment compound flow into the mould form under light
vibration and carefully avoid the formation of bubbles
Immediately switch off the vibrator after the mould is filled
5.5 Setting
Let the mould set for approx 30 min
5.6 Burn out of the wax
Place the mould in a furnace preheated to 300 °C and burn out the wax for
approx 45 – 60 min
5.7 Preheating
Then bring the mould to the required final temperature of 1000 – 1050 °C
required for CoCrMo alloys Maintain the final temperature for approx 60 min
The notes provided under 5 6 and 5 7 also apply accordingly for program-
controlled preheating overnight
5.8 Casting
Cast according to the processing instructions of the alloy manufacturer
