Function and application
A rotating threaded drive (ball thread) converts the rotary
movement of a motor into a linear movement. The piston rod
will then move backwards and forwards.
The piston rod is non-rotating. The position of the piston rod
can be scanned with the aid of proximity sensors.
The electric cylinder ESBF-BS has been designed for exact posi-
tioning at high speeds and high forces.
Note
The ESBF-BS is not fitted with a brake. When the input torque is not applied, the piston
rod can be moved freely. Optionally, self-locking of the complete system can be
achieved with motors with integrated holding brake or with high self-braking torque.
