DIRECTIONS:
· Charge the clipper battery fully before using for the first time.
· This clipper is equipped with two different operating speeds. Turn the clipper on by sliding the on/off switch upward. Position "1" runs at 3,000 strokes
per minute (SPM). Position "2" runs at 3,700 strokes per minute (SPM). After use, switch the clipper off by sliding the on/off switch back down to
Position "0"
CHARGING THE BATTERY
· During cordless operation, the LED light will light up solid green. When the green LED light begins to flash, this indicates battery charge is low and
the unit will need to be recharged.
· When the battery has fully run down, the clipper will switch itself off automatically.
· To charge, connect the cord to the charging socket on the clipper and then plug the plug-in transformer into an electrical socket.
· When the battery begins to charge, an LED light will blink green to indicate the unit is charging. When the LED light has stopped blinking and
remains a constant, unblinking green, the clipper is fully charged and ready for use.
· Full charge time will take approximately 60 minutes. A full charge allows for approximately 120 minutes of clipper run time.
· In the case of low battery, the clipper can be used as a corded unit. However the battery will not begin to charge until the clipper is turned off.
· This clipper includes a "Quick Charge" feature; For example, 10 minutes of charge time will provide 15 minutes of run time.
BATTERY TROUBLESHOOTING
· Flashing Red LED Light: The over-current protection circuit has been activated, possibly due to using a dirty or scored blade. The unit will
automatically shut down, but can be reset by turning the switch to the off position and then turning it back on. If the problem is not resolved, the unit
may stop again right away.
· Solid Red LED Light: The battery pack temperature is too high. This could happen if the unit is used under very heavy clipping loads in extreme
temperature conditions or while charging the unit in an extreme temperature environment. The unit will be temporarily disabled until the battery
temperature returns to a normal level. Do not attempt to recharge the unit until the solid red LED light has turned off. If a problem persists, please
contact Wahl Customer Service at 1-800-PRO-WAHL.

CLEANING AND CARE

· Do not immerse the clipper in water!
· After each use, use the cleaning brush to remove loose hair from the clipper housing and the blade set.
· The blade set should be oiled frequently (daily) in order to maintain its good cutting performance and thus ensuring a long service life. Only use
Wahl Clipper Blade Oil. Wahl Clipper blade oil has been specifically formulated for Wahl Clipper blades. Using any other lubricant may cause
damage to your blades and clipper and would void your clipper's warranty.
· Properly oil your blade using the 5 Point Oiling Method (Figure 2). Place 3 drops of oil along the top of the blade teeth at the left corner, right corner,
and center of the blade. Turn the clipper to its side and place a drop of oil at the heel of the top blade. Repeat on the other side. Let the clipper run
for 30 seconds to allow the oil to work its way into the blade set.
· Wipe away any excess oil. Only wipe the clipper with a soft cloth, which may be dampened slightly. Do not use solvents or abrasives! (Figure 3)
· The blade set may be cleaned with Wahl Clipper Clini-Clip hygienic spray. Do not use any other cleaning agent. Wahl Clipper Clini-Clip has
been specifically formulated for Wahl Clipper blades. Using any other cleaning agent may cause damage to your blades and clipper and would void
your clipper's warranty.
· Insufficient maintenance of the blade set can reduce the operating time considerably.
· Care should be used to keep the cord untwisted and undamaged. When storing the clipper, coil the cord. Wrapping the cord around the clipper for
storage can cause strain to the cord, which over time, can lead to the loosening of the wires and/or electrical shortages.
CHANGING THE BLADE SET
· Switch off the clipper using the on/off switch.
· Locate the blade release button on the backside of the clipper. Press in the blade release button and gently pull the blade away from the clipper
Slide the blade off the blade latch (Figure 4).
· To place a new blade on the clipper, ensure that the blade latch is in the correct, upright position, not lying flat against the clipper. (Figure 5)
· If the blade latch is not upright, you will need a flathead screwdriver to pry it up. (Figure 6). Use the flathead screwdriver to pry open the blade latch
from the side. Do not attempt to pry the blade latch open from the top as there is a chance the drive tip could be damaged.
· Insert the blade onto the blade latch (Figure 7) by sliding the blade retainer over the blade latch. Before snapping the blade into place, turn the
clipper back on. It is important the clipper be running as this ensures the blade will seat properly. Use the palm of your hand to guide the blade to
the clipper. There will be an audible "click" when the blade is set in place.
