Brake Control Wiring Harness
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Read instructions thoroughly before beginning.
2. Locate the vehicle's OEM
brake control connector under the
dash (Fig. 1). The connector will
be similar to that found on the
Brake Control Wiring Harness and
designed to mate with it. The mating
plug will be taped to an existing
harness under the dash, near the
emergency brake pedal (Fig. 2).
If the vehicle is equipped with a
factory brake controller, locate the
plug that matches the housing on
the harness. It will be located
under the dash, near the
emergency brake pedal. Refer
to the vehicles owners manual
for additional information in
locating this connector.
Vehicles Equipped w/OEM
Factory Electric Brake
Control:
NOTE: If the vehicle is
equipped with a factory OEM
Electric Brake Control, the harness will have to be disconnected to
utilize the functions of the OEM connector. Take note that disconnecting
the OEM Electrical Brake Control will make the controller in-operable.
3. Separate the vehicle connectors taking care not to damage the
locking tabs.
