DESCRIPTION
The unit can be found in filtering hoods, ducting hoods or in hoods with an outside motor.
In the Filtering version (Fig. 1), the air and vapours conveyed by the appliance are depurated by charcoal filters
and recirculated around the room. ATTENTION: When using the filtering version, charcoal filters must be installed (the
charcoal filters are not supplied).
In the Ducting version (Fig. 2), cooking vapours and odours are conveyed straight outside by a disposal duct which
passes through the wall. Use of charcoal filters is therefore unnecessary.
In the hoods with an outside motor (Fig. 3), a vacuum suction unit must be connected; this exhaust will operate
separately, conveying the exhaust air through the unit. Only use vacuum units suggested in the original catalogue.
If your appliance is made of stainless steel, it might be covered with a protective film: remove it before installation.
INSTALLATION
Before assembling, in order to manoeuvre the appliance more easily, take off the grease filters: at the handle, push the
stop inwards and pull the filter downwards (Fig. 4); open the trolley and take off the other filter doing the same.
IMPORTANT: So as not to damage your product, during installation USE ONLY THE SCREWS PROVIDED. Make
sure these are used as shown in the following instructions.
To compensate possible depth voids between the appliance and the wall, a plastic SPACING BAR to be fixed
at the back of the appliance by means of the three screws A is included (Fig. 5). The 3 screws A to be used are contained
in the accessory bag attached to the plastic spacing bar. Cut the spacing bar according to the distance to be adjusted.
ASSEMBLY UNDER A PENSILE CUPBOARD
The following operations are essential for assembly:
– Install the wiring system
– Prepare the air venting hole if your appliance is to be installed in the Ducting version or in a hood with outside motor.
Fixation as indicated in Fig. 6:
Make the 4 necessary fixing holes in the bottom of the cupboard and cut the air venting hole. Move the hood
close to the bottom of the wall unit and then connect the two units by means of the 4 self-tapping screws supplied
together with the appliance. Finally, fix the apparatus to the wall unit using the 2 screws (50-60 cm versions) or 3
screws (90 cm version) A as shown in Fig. 6.
Fixation with brackets as in Fig. 7 (OPTIONAL):
Take the two brackets (S) out of the accessory bag together with the 4 screws provided. Fit the brackets to the
wall unit being careful to position these correctly; for this operation use the 4 longer screws. At this point, adjust
the angle of the appliance with the 4 screws (B) and fasten the appliance to the brackets using the 2 shorter
screws (C). Insert the brackets D in their housings and fix them to the wall unit with the 2 screws E.
Ducting version : connect the flange of the hood with the air venting hole made previously in the wall/ceiling by means
of an adequate tube. Make the electrical connections. Reassemble the grease filters.
Filtering version : connect an adequate pipe to the connecting flange of the appliance so that it conveys the air up
to the top of the pensile cupboard (pipe is not provided). Make the electrical connections.
To mount the charcoal filters open the cover A pushing the 2 filter clips B inwards as shown in Fig. 8. Install the charcoal
filters on the side of the motor inserting them with a twisting movement (Fig.9). Reassemble the grease filters.
Version with an outside motor : connect the flange of the hood with the air venting hole made previously in the wall/
ceiling by means of an adequate tube. Make the electrical connections. Plug the hood into the outside control unit using
the special terminal block (Fig. 10): remove wire clamp A and lid B from the wiring junction box. Secure the wire connecting
the control unit to terminal C. Then replace wire clamp A and lid B on the wiring junction box. The other end of the wire
is secured to the terminal block on the outside control unit. Reassemble the grease filters.
OPERATION
Depending on the model, the unit is equipped with the following controls:
Controls shown in Fig. 11:
A = light switch.
B = first speed motor ON/OFF switch.
C = second speed switch.
D = third speed switch.
E = motor on light.
Controls shown in Fig. 12:
MOTOR - Switch A
When set on position "1" the motor will be switched on and off automatically by opening and closing the telescopic visor.
