Disconnect the anode from the tank, pulling out the lug on the anode. Measure the amperage
between the lug and the anode using a multimeter. If the amperage is less than 0.5 mA of
direct current on the fi rst reading, replace the anode. If the anode does not need to be
replaced, do not forget to reconnect it.
• If the tank is to remain without operating over the winter in premises where there is a risk
of freezing, the water must be kept above freezing point.
For all operations on components containing artifi cial siliceous mineral fi bres (ceramic
fi bres, glass wool, rock wool), the operator must wear suitable protective clothing and
a breathing mask to avoid any risk specifi c to these products.
9. TROUBLESHOOTING
• Continuous fl ow of water from the safety unit:
Check the network pressure. If it is greater than 5 bar, fi t a pressure reducer to the water
supply. If the pressure is correct (lower than 5 bar), clean the safety unit valve.
• Low pressure at the hot water tap:
Signifi cant scaling: drain the device, de-scale and check the safety valve.
• If there is a continuous escape of steam or boiling water from the drain or when a water
tap is opened, cut the electrical power and the power to the primary heat exchanger circuit.
Inform the installer.
