Depending on the application, parts of the pump may have been contaminated by the
substances sucked in. Apply appropriate safety regulations and use suitable personal protective
equipment.
These operations must be carried out by qualified and accredited personnel.
Failure to comply with the manufacturer's recommendations and failure to use original parts
during maintenance operations will result in the cancellation of the warranty and/or release the
Mil's company from any liability.
Rubber O ring or rubber flat seals dismantled must be replaced.
Oil change in gear box
Check the oil level regularly.
Perform the oil change every 6000 hours or every 2 years at least with synthetic oil for gear box lubrication
MB150S (MIL'S).
Some pumping applications pollute the oil more than others. Only experience enables one to
determine the frequency of oil changes and the choice of oil quality to use. The frequencies
indicated below are usual encountered values.
Recommended oil: special gear box lubrication MB150S
General characteristics: anticorrosive, antioxidant, extreme pressure, antifoam, flash point: 250°C.
The use of an oil, other than that recommended by MIL'S, engages your responsibility and/or
responsibility of your supplier. The use of unsuitable or immiscible oil can destroy the pump.
The MIL'S oil safety data sheet is available on request: www.mils.fr
The drain plug is a magnetic plug. If there is any metallic dust on this plug during the drain, clean it before
reassembling it.
Suction screnn
A screen [1] is located at the pump's suction port.
Depending on the level of impurities sucked up, it
must be cleaned regularly by washing or blowing.
Replace it if it's necessary.
Remove the suction flange [2]. Remove and clean
the screen [1]. Replace the flange o'ring [3].

Coupling
The coupling ring is subject to wear that relates to the service conditions (number of stop/start cycles,
temperature, etc.); check the condition of the coupling ring and the fingers of the 1/2 sleeves that
accommodate the ring. If necessary, replace them by removing the electric motor.
Air filter (optional)
Depending on the degree of impurities sucked in, the suction filter cartridge will clog. We recommend a
replacement at least every 1 000 hours. This frequency must be adapted to suit your pumping application.
Clean the inside of the filter.
For the carbon filter: the weight of the carbon filter gives information on its operating state.

Disposal of waste
Before any dismantling operation, make sure that the pump does not present any risk generated by
substances sucked in.
See safety data sheet on ANNEX.
The pump must be dismantled. Materials must be sorted, collected and recycled in accordance with local
and national safety and environmental regulations.
The main wastes to be recovered are:
•
Metallic materials
•
DEEE
•
Oil
Collection and recovery must be carried out by approved service providers in accordance with the
regulations in force in the country.
